Our story
Two wheels, one kiln.
We're both potters. We met arguing (politely) over the last shelf in a shared kiln in Chiang Mai — and then somehow never stopped sharing it.
01 — The shared kiln
Ken says he offered to share his firing slot "to be nice." Mei knows for a fact it was the only shelf left. Either way, our pots have been coming out of the same fire ever since.
02 — The "accidental" glazes
For about a year, Mei's bowls kept turning up with Ken's terracotta drips on them, and Ken's mugs kept catching Mei's sandy speckle. Total mystery. Neither of us has ever admitted a single thing.
03 — The bowl
Ken wrote a question on the bottom of a bowl and slipped it into Mei's batch. She didn't flip it over for a whole week. When she finally did, she said yes in under a second — so we're calling it even.
"Found a week late, on the bottom of a bowl: marry me?"
