Our story
Josh had taught hundreds of students to hover perfectly still in blue water. Then came Hana — bright, fearless, and mysteriously unable to hold her buoyancy. Lesson after lesson she sank, she floated, she flailed. He never once suspected it was on purpose.
Somewhere between the coral gardens and the safety stops, lessons turned into long dinners, and the dive logs filled with doodles instead of depths. Hana finally confessed: she had mastered buoyancy in week one. She just wasn't ready to stop being his student.
On the boat back from Nusa Penida, salt still drying on their skin, Josh handed her a dive slate with a ring zip-tied to the corner. Beneath it he'd written: "You've passed. Marry me?" She circled yes — twice.

To Note
Breezy formal in ocean hues. The ceremony sits on grass and stone, so flat shoes are your friend. Cars can drop you at the estate gate in Pecatu.
